Call for Symposium Proposals
The Organizing Committee of the 25th International Symposium on Shiftwork and Working Time is pleased to invite proposals for symposia. This highly anticipated event will be held in Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil, from November 10–14, 2025.
The central theme of the event will be "Basic-to-Translational Science for Preventing and Managing Chronic Diseases in Shift Workers: Challenges and Barriers Hindering Progress”. We are committed to curating a cutting-edge and dynamic scientific program, showcasing innovative, diverse, and timely research. We encourage symposium topics that reflect the latest developments and critical perspectives in the field of shiftwork and working time.
Each proposed symposium must include four speakers, and the Scientific Committee will carefully evaluate every submission.
Key Dates & Deadlines
- Proposal submission opens: October 1, 2024.
- Submission deadline: December 1, 2024.
- Final decisions: February 1, 2025.
Selection Criteria
- Each symposium must have a Chair, who may or may not be one of the speakers.
- No more than two speakers from the same country are allowed in each symposium.
- The proposed list of speakers should consist of individuals who have agreed to be part of the symposium and are committed to attending if accepted.
- Gender and geographic diversity among the speakers is strongly encouraged.
Submission Guidelines
Kindly ensure your proposal contains the following information:
- The title of the symposium.
- A summary (minimum of 100 and maximum of 200 words) describing the background and objectives of the symposium.
- The name, affiliation, and contact information of the Chair and each speaker, including each speaker’s intended approach within the symposium.
- A statement confirming that proposed speakers have agreed to participate.
The Scientific Committee may recommend adjustments to promote diversity and balance in the chosen symposia.
