Professor of Neuroscience Research and Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Management Center at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.

Dr. Shinnar is a recipient of the Research Recognition Award of the AES and the 2011 CURE Epilepsy Research Leadership Award.  He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals. He has been active in AES for many years and is a Past President of  the AES (American Epilepsy Society).
