IGNACIO ESCOTTO SANCHEZ
Dr Escotto is General Surgeon graduated from Hospital General de Mexico, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon graduated from Centro Medico Nacional in Mexico City, He did Fellowship program in Endovascular Surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute of Phoenix AZ, US and another Academic stay in Vascular Ultrasound at the General Hospital Vall Hebron in Barcelona,
Cataluña, Spain. He completed a Master in Medical Sciences from UNAM. For 16 years he has been an Adjunct Professor of the postgraduate course in Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He is Pioneer of Endovascular Surgery in Mexico and developed the Non invasive Vascular Laboratory. He created the SIMULATION TRAINING CENTER IN EDOVASCULAR PROCEDURES, where many courses for fellows are done every year with animal and endovascular simulators.
Since 2017 he has been Chief ofVascular and Endovascular Surgery service at the Medica Sur Hospital - Mayo Clinic Network.Psast-President of the Society of Endovascular Surgeons of Latin America 2017-19. He is an Invited professor at the University of StonyBrooks NY US, He belongs to the Editorial committee of the Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, Mexican Journal of Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Assistant Editor for LatinAmerica of the "Journal Vascular & Endovascular Surgery" ,. He is Certified by the Mexican Council of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Mexico, Member of the "Society for Vascular Surgery" of the United States SVS and the Mexican Society of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, theMedical Society of Medica Sur,. Director in charge of the scientific program of the Mexican Society of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular and Endovascular Surgery for 8 years. He was Secretary of the same society from 2013-2014. Author of different scientific articles in national and international journals. Invited as a professor and speaker at the most important national and international conferences in the area of Vascular Surgery.
